Everyday Enchantments

When I started out, getting magickal items was a journey in itself. In terms of incense, I had the luxury of living close to nature so I either picked wild ingredients or grew them in the garden. Not so when I moved to "the big city", although a whole new world of opportunity opened up with the internet boom. Over the years, I have gathered a few sellers on the web who persistently deliver great service and great products. One of the best ever incenses I've tried I've bought from Goddess Enchantments . Herkimer diamond are not actually diamonds at all, they are clear, naturally double-terminated quartz. It was originally found in Herkimer County in New York, but deposits has also been found in Mexico. It can be quite pricey if it is small and clear, but do not be fooled by the size of the crystal - even the little ones are very powerful (do not wear Herkimer diamonds for extended periods of time). The very clear ones can display little rainbow inside due to the refraction of light. Healing Herkimer diamonds activate the light body, and are powerful detoxifying crystals. It clears electromagnetic pollution and can for this purpose be included in space clearing rituals or sprays. Magickal Use Herkimer diamonds to enhance psychic ability, prophetic dreaming and telepathy. It is also fantastic in any cleansing rituals. Happy Halloween and hope you all have a fantastic Witches New Year! :) October 31st is known to Wiccans as the New Year; we call it Samhain and this is the end of our Wheel of the Year. The veil between us and the other planes of being is thin, and divination and spirit contact is much easier tonight than any other night of the year. As it is the New Year, spells for wishes and goals for the coming turn of the Wheel is appropriate at Samhain, as is contacting ancestral spirits. Many Witches believe that tonight spirits travel freely, and we therefor light their way with as many candles as we can spare and leave food out for them. Mostly these foods left out are mysteriously gone come the morning, but that may just be the ginger tom-cat cruising the neighbourhood at Witches' Hour... It has been suggested that lighting pumpkin lanterns with scary faces was a way to deter these wandering spirits to enter your home! Let me introduce myself - my name is Lina-Elvira and I have been a Witch for 18 years now, and I've come to a point where I felt I would like to share my everyday Witchcraft practice with a wider audience, and perhaps make some connections to enrich my own spirituality. My religion is firmly Wiccan, I believe in a Greater Spirit that is of a dual Goddess/God energy but I have chosen a magical path which is quite eclectic. Some of my magical practice is of course coloured by my Wiccan beliefs, but the spells, rituals and techniques I will feature here should not require you to be a Wiccan. I will centre my writing on the aspects of being a Witch every day; the little things that will enrich your life and hopefully the lives of those around you.
